PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Despite the end of the government shutdown, Independence Hall in Philadelphia is closed temporarily.
The Independence National Historical Park says the closure came without any advance notice.
It is due to preservation work ahead of next year's 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence being signed.
It won't reopen until January 28.
The park will provide alternate experiences for visitors during the closure.
