The deputy commissioners of Gurgaon and Faridabad Thursday ordered that all schools in their districts must conduct classes for students up to Class 5 in hybrid mode amid “very poor” air quality and Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
Ajay Kumar, DC , Gurgaon, in his order, noted the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Gurgaon has remained in the “very poor” category for the past five days.
“To protect the health and safety of children, classes up to Class 5 will be held both offline and online,” Kumar said in his order, adding that parents and students can opt for online classes where the facility is available.
Schools have been instructed to ensure that studies are not disrupted, and teaching continues smoothly.
