St. Joseph Today will kick off the Christmas season with the lighting of luminaries downtown next Friday, November 21.
St. Joe Today’s Daniele Crevier tells us businesses throughout the area are taking part, putting out hundreds of luminaries along the streets and holding special hours.
“ We literally put out luminary bags throughout downtown on State Street and the side streets, so there’s about a thousand bags, and then they light your way,” Crevier said. “ That also kicks off the holiday music that St. Joe Today will play downtown from about 12 to 8 daily through Christmas Eve.”
And Crevier says the event also marks the start of the Countdown to New Year.
