SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - There’s evidence Thursday night that every child is an artist.

That evidence unveiled earlier in the evening at St. Mary’s College in the school’s Moreau Gallery.

Since mid-October a collection of 6 th to 12 th grade girls has collaborated with artist Federico Rodriguez the third to create an inspirational mural in the gallery lobby.

The large, beautiful piece is entitled ‘Rise Together’ and celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.

“In this mural, you could see a lot of color, a lot of positivity, a lot of radiance. These girls really want to see what’s best for the world. And in a world where there’s so much negativity, it’s their way of putting positivity back into it,” said Rodriguez.

He was raised on South Bend’s west side.
