CLEVELAND, Ohio — Browns legend Bernie Kosar provided an update to fans on Thursday, stating he’s “stepping out of surgery with hope and resilience.” However, he said his fifth procedure was complicated by aggressive bleeding.

“I want to say how great I’m doing. But wow, the bleeding came back way aggressively in the middle of the night,” Kosar said from his hospital bed .

On Wednesday, Kosar asked for prayers after undergoing “two aggressive procedures” to stop internal bleeding as he awaited a liver transplant that had been delayed.

Kosar announced on Wednesday that he was scheduled to receive a liver transplant last weekend, before it was held off due to the donor organ being infected.

He then underwent the two procedures and was set for a third procedure.
