Following a contentious discussion at a Thursday meeting, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission voted 2-1 to approve Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company’s request for capacity expansion projects and a cost recovery rider, but under different language than a version proposed last week, much to the dismay of one commissioner.

The commission for the second consecutive week had before them a revised order for consideration. Proposed at last week’s meeting was an order, coordinated by Commissioner Brian Bingman’s office, denying OG&E’s request to use a mechanism called Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) , which allows utilities to charge rate payers for infrastructure upgrades not yet completed.
