SHREVE PORT, La. — Shreve port officials say the city’s water quality has improved, but council members warned Thursday that the public still doesn’t believe it and won’t until they see it with their own eyes.
Council Chairwoman Tabatha Taylor urged the administration to change how it communicates water improvements.
“The perception is that the water is still not clean,” Taylor said.
Councilwoman Ursula Bowman echoed the concern.
“Older constituents don’t read long pieces of paper," Bowman suggested, saying residents should receive photos of what the water looked like before and what it looks like now.
