GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Woodsonia presented concept plans for a multi-million-dollar development in north Grand Island to city council members Tuesday, more than a year after the project was initially approved.

The company submitted project plans for the Good Life District north of West Capital Avenue. The project includes 400 acres of multi-purpose land and is expected to take 30 years to fully complete.

Project Veterans Village to Be Built in Three Phases

The construction project is called Project Veterans Village. The development will be completed in three phases.

The first phase will include building an indoor-outdoor sports complex and an aquatic center. The first phase is projected to cost 142 million dollars.
