BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

A second arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that left one dead and one injured in Birmingham over the weekend.

Albert Young, 48, was arrested Wednesday and charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, according to the Birmingham Police Department. The charge stems from the deadly shooting of Jeremiah Stone on Nov. 8.

Officers found Stone, 31, lying unresponsive in the road in the 1800 block of Henry Crumpton Drive around 11:20 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers then learned of a second gunshot victim in the 2500 block of John Bryan Road, who was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
