The Colorado State women's basketball team went to Spokane and made some history.
Gonzaga had won 21 home openers in a row, never losing the first game of a season in McCarthey Athletic Center (opened in 2004).
Streak over.
CSU used a huge fourth quarter Nov. 13 to take down Gonzaga 70-66 as the Rams stayed perfect (3-0) on the season.
It's a big win against a future Pac-12 foe for the Rams.
Gonzaga (2-1) led by seven after the first quarter but had it tied by half. Gonzaga nudged ahead again, taking a six-point lead into the fourth quarter.
It was all CSU from there. A 10-2 run early in the quarter set the tone and the Rams carried the play.
CSU shot 8-13 (62%) in the fourth quarter while holding Gonzaga to 5-14 (36%) and outscoring the Bulldogs 23-13 to steal the road win.
