CHILDERSBURG, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Police in Childersburg are investigating after they said a man was shot at a gas station on Highway 280 late Wednesday night, Nov. 12.

Childersburg PD was called to the MAPCO located in the 32000 block of U.S. Highway 280 around 10:41 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was treated at the scene before he was taken to a Birmingham hospital for treatment of what was determined to be non-life-threatening injuries.

After investigating, police said they determined two people who did not know each other got into an argument in the parking lot of the gas station. During the argument, one of the people pulled out a firearm and fired multiple rounds, hitting the other person at least once before fleeing the sce
