GLENDALE, Ariz. — The pilot of a plane that experienced "a landing gear anomaly" at Luke Air Force Base is safe, authorities said.

A contracted Mirage F1 operating out of Luke Air Force Base in Glendale landed safely with a "landing gear anomaly" on Thursday evening.

"The pilot is safe and Luke flight operations are fully operational," authorities tell 12News.

Luke emergency personnel were on scene at the incident to ensure the pilot and base personnel were safe.

The incident is currently under investigation, authorities said.
