ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Some TSA agents are getting a financial boost ahead of their incoming back pay, and travelers said it is well deserved.
On Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem handed out $10,000 bonus checks to air traffic control and TSA workers in Houston for their “exemplary service” through the 43-day government shutdown.
“For stepping up, taking on extra shifts, for showing up each and every day, for serving the American people and taking seriously the mission that the Department of Homeland Security takes seriously and that they take seriously every single day, and that’s keeping the American people safe,” said Noem.
