The charges against Overman were filed in June, more than a month after Henry County deputies served a search warrant at his Spiecland home and seized computer equipment and a cell phone.
When those devices were examined, investigators said they found numerous videos and images, many showing prepubescent females being sexually assaulted by adult males.
NEW CASTLE, IN — A Henry County man determined to have downloaded images of children being sexually assaulted by adults has been placed on home detention for two years.
William R. Overman, 69, of Spiceland, was sentenced Nov. 6 by Henry Circuit Court 1 Judge Bob Witham after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony carrying up to six years in prison.
