Patna: According to the early trends, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is ahead in several seats in Bihar as the counting of votes for the state assembly elections commenced at 8am on Friday. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) is emerging as single largest party as NDA looks at a comeback.

Trends at 10.45 am showed the NDA leading in 185 seats. The Mahagathbandhan was leading in 54. At 10.44 am, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also crossed the 50-mark and was leading in 76 seats. The Janata Dal (United) was leading in 78 seats around the same time. The majority mark in Bihar assembly is 122 seats. ADVERTISEMENT

During the early hours, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is the chief ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, was leading in Raghopur assembly.
