WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Hemp industry advocates are challenging new federal regulations that establish a 0.4 milligrams per container THC limit, which they say effectively bans THC products.
Hemp advocate Sheldon Coleman said the new restriction overrides limits established in the 2018 Farm Bill, which allowed the consumption and sale of THC products.
“The ban they snuck through in this process is this 0.4 milligrams per container, that is absolutely zero THC,” Coleman said.
Coleman said the change bypassed the legislative process used for the Farm Bill.
“To get this ban in place... overwriting the farm bill which was vetted, and argued and out in the open to help legalize hemp and legalize hemp-derived products,” he said.
The change is having an effect across Kansas, with CBD shop own
