The Harrisburg School District on Thursday held a special meeting to discuss potential plans for the dormant William Penn High School campus.

The more than three-hour meeting, held in the auditorium of Harrisburg High School’s John Harris Campus, allotted time for eight proposals and was led by district solicitor Jeffrey T. Sultanik.

The first proposal, titled “William Penn Taskforce CTE Subcommittee’s Proposal,” sparked some heated discussion from one school board member.

The proposal mentioned the Dauphin County Technical School’s articles of agreement and outlined various costs regarding career technical education (CTE) and the district’s commitments.
