Guyer’s patience paid off on Friday night, as the Wildcats worked methodically to pick up a resounding victory in the bi-district round.
Guyer struck first with a safety, and an Andrew Johnson field goal (32 yards) made the score 5-0.
The Wildcat defense came up big a second time when Paxton Williams returned an interception 84 yards for a touchdown and Guyer led 12-0 after one.
In the second quarter, Kaedyn Cobbs scored on a 7-yard run to make it 19-0 Guyer at the break.
In the third, Cobbs scored on a 5-yard run to make the score 26-0 Guyer, and four minutes later Aiden Martens broke a 63-yard touchdown run to make the score 33-0 Wildcats after three.
In the fourth quarter, Cobbs scored on an 8-yard run to give the Wildcats a 40-0 victory.
