A teenager in the middle of baseball practice collapses on the field, is flown to Cincinnati Children’s and survives the scary incident.

That young baseball player is doing ‘much better’ but it was a wake-up call for his coaches and the city of Lawrenceburg. Advertisement

At October baseball practice before a big tournament, Coach Greg Cannon was pitching to his team with number five up at bat.

“He actually hit a double off me,” Cannon said.

While the teenager was running to second base, he fell down and couldn't get up.

“We all kind of ran over there and realized he was collapsed and unconscious at the time,” Cannon said.

Cannon went from coach to first responder.

“I had just gotten off duty so my gear was in the dugout. So I actually told my kids to grab my
