The Congress on Friday (November 14) alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attempting to "deny, denigrate, distort, and demonise" Jawaharlal Nehru’s immense contributions to the making of modern India, and asserted that the legacy of the country’s first prime minister "must and will endure" despite this assault.
