Kuldeep Yadav has requested that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) release him from the squad for his wedding later this month. According to a report in the Times of India, the premier spinner was forced to cancel the festivities earlier this year after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 finished later than the scheduled date due to cross-border tension between India and Pakistan.

According to the report, Kuldeep requested some leaves for the last week of November. India are slated to take on South Africa in the second Test in Guwahati from November 22, while the three-match series between the two teams is scheduled to begin on November 30 in Ranchi.
