Mikey Rijavec’s passion for fishing is well-documented in the photos of his broad smiles with a big catch and the joyful cheers in the YouTube videos that made him popular among the San Diego fishing community.

“He’s an adventurer. He pushes the envelope. That’s part of what we love about him,“ Phil Friedman said.

Fellow angler, podcaster and close friend Phil Friedman has been bull horning Rijavec’s disappearance since communication with him stopped Tuesday.

“How would you describe the situation right now? Dire for sure,” Friedman said.
