The Pack Fire in Mono County has burned more than 3,400 acres with no containment, damaging over a dozen buildings and forcing evacuation orders and warnings. Shelters are open at Mammoth Lakes Middle School and in Bishop as CAL FIRE and first responders work to manage the fast-moving wildfire. Rain has slowed fire activity, and an incident management team is expected to take command in the morning. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the Pack Fire is under investigation.
