On Thursday, a day before the counting of votes in Bihar, posters and banners with the text ' Tiger abhi zinda hai ' (Tiger is still alive) featuring party chief Nitish Kumar cropped up across the state. Written off by many and battling perceptions of poor health, Bihar's 'Sushasan Babu' has shown he still has the bite at 74. Trends show that Nitish's JD(U) is leading in over 75 seats of the 101 it contested, propelling the NDA, which is set to retain power in Bihar.
If the trends hold, it marks a stunning turnaround for Nitish's JD(U) , which is battling anti-incumbency after nearly 20 years in power. As per the latest trends, the JD(U) has managed to add almost 30 seats to its kitty from its 2020 tally. Also, it is retaining 88% of its seats.
