WARREN — The Trumbull County commissioners on Thursday tabled a vote on proposed health insurance plans for county employees and opted to wait for the return of a vacationing colleague.

Commissioners Tony Bernard and Rick Hernandez said they wanted to delay action until Commissioner Denny Malloy is back.

The plans, discussed at a workshop the day before, would have raised premiums by 10.65% for family coverage and 10.7% for individual plans under UnitedHealthcare / Guardian options.

County employees would pay 12% of rates for preferred provider organization and exclusive provider organization plans, with the county covering 88%.

Sheriff’s office workers would contribute 11%, with their office paying 89%.
