BBC TV licence households could face a TRIAL - with 76 households currently awaiting a hearing. People who are caught without a TV licence could be fined and prosecuted, according to Labour Party government legislation.

Current Ministry of Justice data shows 76 people were awaiting trial for non-payment of the BBC licence fee as of November 6, 2025. There is one under-25, 31 people aged 24 to 44, 40 people aged 45 to 64, three state pensioners, and one whose age hasn't been recorded.

58 women and 17 men currently await the trial. Speaking out in the Commons about the data, Sarah Sackman said: "The count is based upon cases in which a hearing is scheduled for 6 November 2025 or the future and contains the following offence codes CT0310 - Use a television set without a licen
