Tributes have been paid to a beloved teenager who tragically died just a day after being diagnosed with leukaemia . ‌

Harley Andrews, 16, was rushed to the Royal Bolton Hospital on Saturday where, according to fundraisers, he was told he had an 'aggressive form' of the blood cancer. ‌

And they say that in a 'devastating turn' he passed away in the early hours the following day (November 9). ‌

He played local amateur football, initially for his dad's team, Leigh Town, before transferring to Astley and Tyldesley FC in January 2023 where it is said he was a 'pivotal part' of a league and cup double win in 2024.

Two fundraising pages have now been established to raise funds for his family, reports the Manchester Evening News .
