The campus at Okanagan College in Penticton no longer bustles like it used to.

Emma Libby’s first semester there was in September 2023. She remembers college feeling the way she expected it would – campus was always astir, there were lots of sports and groups to join, all the courses she needed were available, the cafeteria was an energetic place with plenty of food options, therapy dogs were occasionally brought onto campus to help students to de-stress, and Welcome Day was an exciting way to kick off to the school year

“Classrooms were busy, halls were busy,” Libby said, “no matter which time you were walking through.”
