Fresh off a dominant playoff win over Fountain Inn, Emerald is surging with momentum and confidence as the Vikings turn their focus to round two of the Class 4A playoffs.

The Vikings hit the road once again — this time to face South Pointe, one of the state’s powerhouse programs.

This matchup will be a major test for Emerald, with South Pointe’s blend of size and speed posing a tough challenge on both sides of the ball.

“They’re very talented across the board — huge up front, fast, and disciplined,” Emerald’s coach Tad DuBose said. “Bobby Collins and his staff have done a great job. We’ll have our hands full Friday night, but we’re excited for the opportunity to go play.”
