The Narendra Modi government has decided to establish 100 new Sainik Schools across the country through the Public Private Partnership model. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced this on Thursday while speaking via video conference at the inauguration of the Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and the Sagar Organic Plant, as reported by news agency PTI.
Shah said the new Sainik Schools will create opportunities for children from several districts of Gujarat to join the armed forces. According to a government release, the Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School has been constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. The school includes facilities such as smart classrooms, hostels, a library and a canteen.
