Five tourists have been killed in Bali after the mini bus they were travelling in plunged into a ravine.
The Chinese passengers were heading to the region of Buleleng in the northern part of Bali when the driver lost control of the vehicle, killing five and injuring another 13.
Local police head Widwan Sutadi said the driver was trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle when it crashed into the ravine.
“As the driver was unable to control the vehicle, he swerved it to the left to crash into a tree and try to avoid a collision (with another car) but the minibus was thrown off and plunged into the shallow ravine,” Mr Sutadi told Reuters.
