Federal Cabinet is headed west again with Ministers expected to fan out across Western Australia next week.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese recommitted during the election to visiting WA at least 10 times a year — and to regularly bring his ministerial colleagues.
He promised in September, while announcing a $12 billion down payment on the overhaul of the Henderson shipbuilding precinct, that his next visit would be to hold a Cabinet meeting in regional WA.
This will be the second Federal Cabinet meeting in WA since the election.
Ministers attended in early June, just a month after WA voters sent a record 11 Labor MPs to Canberra.
Many ministers have been regular visitors to WA, with Defence Minister Richard Marles coming to Perth twice in recent weeks to announce a $6 million donatio
