Bhubaneswar: With mercury plummeting to 7-8°C amid a cold wave warning, the Kandhamal administration has revised the school timings.

“All schools will run from 10 am to 4 pm in the district during winter. We have taken these measures for the safety of students since the district is reeling under extreme cold weather in the morning,” collector Ved Bhusan said in an order issued on Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENT

He also ordered for setting up of night shelters for the homeless in urban areas, including Phulbani, Baliguda and G.Udayagiri.
