Ten prominent people, mostly Native Hawaiians, have been named to a new advisory committee to provide guidance to Gov. Josh Green on ongoing discussions with the military on state leased lands. They are expected to advise Green on cultural, natural and economic strategies regarding very-consequential leases that expire in 2029.
The members include heads of state agencies, such as Kali Watson and Ed Sniffen; and private and nonprofit sectors, such as William Aila, Kuhio Lewis and Noe Noe Wong-Wilson. See the full list at engage.hawaii.gov .
