A former Perth teacher who abused four schoolboys in the 1970s and 80s, in behaviour a judge described as "predatory", has been jailed for 16 years.

Rodney Neville Watkins, now 76, was found guilty in the Perth District Court of 14 offences of abuse relating to the boys, who were aged between nine and 13 at the time.
Much of that offending occurred at Watkins' home in Mount Lawley which he shared with another school teacher, Robert Lefroy, who had been Watkins' Year 6 teacher.
Lefroy, who is now deceased, was convicted of child sexual abuse in 2003.
