INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — A man who was born in Northeast Ohio died last weekend because of a “medical emergency” while running a marathon in Indianapolis, reports say.
The obituary for Kyle Evan Fisher, 40, of Cincinnati, says he was running in the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon last weekend and “heading to the finish line” when the emergency occurred.
A statement from marathon officials says Fisher was given medical aid at the scene and then taken to a hospital. Another man, John Clifford Mace, 71, of Fillmore, Indiana, also died of an unrelated medical emergency while running.
