Former political strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj has failed to win any seat in the Bihar Assembly election, despite contesting in 238 constituencies.
While the party had gained leads in four constituencies in early trends, it fell behind other parties in subsequent rounds of counting.
This is in line with exit poll forecasts , which predicted that the Jan Suraaj would be limited to zero to five seats in the 243-member Assembly.
Kishor had launched the party on October 2, 2024, saying that it would seek to end political helplessness in Bihar by creating a united alternative party for its citizens.
Ahead of the election, there had been speculation that Kishor himself could contest the election. However, he announced on October 15 that he would not contest any seat .
