New Delhi: Diabetes remission is emerging as a powerful goal in diabetes care, but sustaining it remains a challenge, especially in India, informed Dr. Anoop Misra , Chairman, Fortis-C-DOC Centre of Excellence for Diabetes, Metabolic Diseases and Endocrinology.
Stressing that remission should be actively pursued in all newly diagnosed, overweight, and younger patients, provided they are ready to make intensive lifestyle changes, Dr Misra said, " Diabetes remission is a real possibility, and we should practice it in every patient who is young, newly diagnosed, and obese,”.
