YOUNGSTOWN A former Youngstown resident was sentenced on Thursday to 40 years in prison for distributing fentanyl that led to a death in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
According to a news release from the Department of Justice for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Eliot Gentry, 28, was sentenced for several drug-related charges.
Gentry previously pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl that would later result in a death within Mercer County on January 23, 2022, and conspiring to distribute 400 or more grams of fentanyl, 100 grams or more of fluorofentanyl and five kilograms or more of cocaine between May of 2021 and October of 2022.
