An Edinburgh worker turned his side hustle reselling vintage clothing into his full-time job, earning five figures a month.

Scott Atkins, 21, was only seeking to make around £200 a month to fund a car while working as a design engineer in the capital alongside his engineering degree.

He turned to reselling second-hand clothes in February 2024, using Depop and Vinted. He initially struggled to keep up and balance it with the demands of his job and studies, especially with travelling three hours a day on public transport to get to work.

However, he persevered until he reached the point it started returning thousands of pounds in profit, reports the Daily Record .
