The fifth-seeded Thurston Colts (10-1) play host to the No. 13 Churchill Lancers (7-3) on Friday night in a 5A Oregon high school football playoffs Round 2/state quarterfinals matchup .

Coach Justin Starck’s Colts are coming off a 34-17 first-round win against Bend. Running back Justin Fisher was the offensive player of the year in the Midwestern League , and quarterback Emmit Distefano was a fellow first-team selection on offense .

The Lancers, coached by Layne Coffin, went on the road and took down Lebanon, 21-8, in the first round. Among their first-team all-Midwestern League selections are running back Lukas Babbitt, wide receiver TJ Wright and tight end Charlie Dexter.
