One person died and two others were injured after a car crashed in Leicester Wednesday afternoon, officials reported.
Police responded to the collision on Homestead Lane around 1:40 p.m., according to Julia Keane, spokesperson for the Worcester District Attorney’s office. The driver remained at the scene.
One victim was hospitalized and pronounced dead shortly afterward. Two others were also hospitalized, but Keane did not confirm whether their injuries were life-threatening.
No other details were available Wednesday night.
The crash remains under investigation by the Leicester Police Department, CEMLEC (Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council) and the Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
