JAMMU, Nov 14:BJP on Friday won the Nagrota Assembly by-poll, while the PDP won the Budgam seat for the first time.
BJP candidate Devyani Rana won the Nagrota seat with 42,350 votes, securing a massive victory margin of 24,647 votes.
Whereas in Budgam, PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi emerged victorious with 21,576 votes, defeating J&K National Conference’s Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi, who secured 17,098 votes.
With this now BJP will have 29 MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir , whereas Tally of PDP has risen to 4.
