Sydney: Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure company Firmus has raised about three hundred twenty five million dollars in fresh funding as it pushes ahead with its plan to build large scale data centres across the country. The latest investment round is backed by major supporters including Nvidia and Ellerston Capital, strengthening the company’s position in a fast growing global market for high power ai facilities.
Firmus said the new funds will help accelerate Project Southgate, its major rollout of ai infrastructure that aims to reach as much as one point six gigawatts of capacity by twenty twenty eight. This expansion includes a network of next generation ai factories designed to handle increasing demand for advanced computing.
