The Uttar Pradesh government has approved concessions in stamp duty and registration fees for rental agreements of up to 10 years. The move is aimed at encouraging both property owners and tenants to draft written agreements and get them registered, reducing disputes and ensuring effective implementation of the Tenancy Regulation Act.
