GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A former nurse turned comedian who worked on the frontlines during COVID is now working on the frontlines of the Gainesville comedy scene.

Allie Owens, also known as Allie O on stage, is a former ICU nurse who’s now on a mission to bring joy back into the lives of this community, and she’s doing it with Tailwhip Comedy.

The name itself makes you think of quick whit. Tailwhip is the first show Owens was ever booked and paid for.
