NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- New York City, step right up. The magic of the Big Apple Circus is back in town with more sky-high acrobatics, breath taking stunts, and laughs for the whole family.

"I think we've built a really good show this year, and I think people will love it. You know, it's fun," said Joe Gold, producer, Big Apple Circus. "My job is to make sure that people have a good time.

He wants them to have a good time at what has become an institution in this town.

Acts under the big top have been entertaining New Yorkers for generations.

"I think what makes it so special is it's our 48 years," Gold said. "At the Big Apple Circus, the parents are enjoying themselves. The kids are enjoying themselves. And how often does that happen that you have great family entertainment."
