Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the primary Opposition in Telangana, was the first to announce its candidate for the Jubilee Hills bypoll, following the demise of sitting BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath.
As a mark to continue the BRS tradition, the ticket was given to Gopinath’s spouse, Maganti Sunitha. BRS was also the first to kickstart the election campaign, strategies, and launch their team in Jubilee Hills. Despite putting up a high-octane fight, the ‘Car’ party could not finish the race. BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha secured 74,296 votes and came second in the election.
