It has been nearly two decades since Lalu Prasad Yadav's rule in Bihar ended in 2005. An entire generation of voters, including Gen Z, has not seen Lalu or his RJD in power. Those who grew up during the turbulent 1990s recounted how lawlessness and the threat of kidnappings shaped their childhoods.
