CLEVELAND, Ohio – About 4,120 pounds of frozen chicken and beef croquette products have been recalled because of misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said.
Brazilian Taste of Lexington, South Carolina, is recalling the croquettes, which contain sesame, a known allergen that is not declared on the label.
The items were shipped to retail locations in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas but also nationwide through online sales.
The chicken croquettes were produced March 4 to Aug. 19. The beef croquettes were produced June 2. The products subject to recall bear P-45640 or Est. 45640 inside the USDA inspection mark. The recall affects three plastic bag packages
